Great Canadian Outdoor Adventure Travel Experiences

Moving water cascading from one lake to the next
Against a setting of granite outcrops and miles of unimpeded forests you can experience some of Canada's greatest challenges for those who love outdoor adventure travel. Whether it's rock climbing, scuba diving or trail riding on your mountain bike, Northwestern Ontario is the place God had in mind for these types of sports. Set your sights on endless numbers of opportunities to challenge your skills against what Mother Nature can muster against you. Clearly, we have a lot to offer anyone who wants a new place to test their mettle. There are countless numbers of undiscovered rock faces waiting to be climbed and there are also established locations already in place and familiar to some. The Canadian Shield country of Northwestern Ontario has a lot of rock and it's something that should beckon any climber looking for a place to test their skills. Endless numbers of freshwater lakes present scuba divers with a myriad of choices for a dive. See underwater caves at some locations and investigate the bottom of our lakes for signs of the past. Ice diving during the winter months is a truly unique experience to try. Mountain bikers will savour the many remote trail systems and back roads to ride their bike down. Enjoy a day in the forest with a group of riders and return to a comfortable resort or hotel after a day's riding.
Adventure sports, water activities like water skiing and windsurfing are also popular
