Wabakimi Wilderness Park Wabakimi is one of Ontario's largest parks - bigger than the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island or the State of Connecticut - and offers the adventure seeker a wilderness experience on a grand scale! Incredible canoeing and fishing is available throughout the park. This is backcountry with a distinct northern charm and beauty. Paddle in solitude, fish to your heart's content or enjoy the comforts of a remote fly-in fishing lodge. With its rare woodland caribou and remote rivers, Wabakimi embraces elements of the rugged Canadian Shield and boreal forests. Paddle into solitude on the 12,000 lakes within the park. There are over 2,000 kilometers of canoe routes in the park. The park is home to all kinds of wildlife including woodland caribou, wolves, deer, moose, bald eagles and wolverines to name a few.
