To ensure a safe experience for the fish, always catch then photo and release the fish as quickly as you can. If there are hooks embedded in the fishes body cut them with bolt cutters to reduce mortality rates. These fish are trophies and with the slow growth rates in Canadian waters, the big ones have been around for a long time.
