Damselfly Resting on a Water Lily
Photograph by Dan Good
The range of colour showing on damselflies have always fascinated me. While closely related to dragonflies, these insects are generally smaller. When resting, like this one close, they close their wings over their back.

This quiet scene was taken near the end-of-day in a shallow back-bay of Cross Inlet on Lake of the Woods.
