One of the most common species of big game in Northwestern Ontario are black bears. This big animal was photographed along side the Highway on the way to Lac Seul. The biggest bears in the region can reach weights of 700 pounds or more and despite their size, most bears are docile animals that would rather avoid contact with humans.
